The Office of Biosafety strongly recommends that UGA personnel requesting permits from APHIS PPQ, VS or BRS utilize the new USDA ePermit system for permit applications, annual renewals or amendment requests. USDA will handle all electronic permits first so we are not sure if or when they will get to paper applications. All old permit forms have been removed from the APHIS website. We have a guide to establishing an ePermit account on this website. Other useful information related to USDA permits is included and this page there is more to come. We’re here to help you as much as possible in obtaining your required permits so please give us a call if you have any questions or need assistance preparing for an inspection.
Please contact Biosafety at (706) 542-7265 or biosfty@uga.edu if you are a UGA employee with questions on agricultural transport permits and we will assist you as much as possible.
