Lamar Dodd Award

Carolyn Berdanier made tremendous contributions to understanding maturity onset hyperlipemia and glycemia, both of which are conditions closely related to heart disease and diabetes. Her leadership led to the development of one of the best nutrition programs in the South. Berdanier carried out her research with not only colleagues in the United States, but also around the world.
