Judith Ortiz Cofer Professor of English Albert Christ-Janer Award The cultures of Puerto Rico and the United States come together in the fiction, poetry and essays of Judith Ortiz Cofer. Her novel published by the University of Georgia Press, The Line of the Sun, received a Pulitzer Prize nomination in 1989. A number of textbooks and anthologies include her writings.
