Director
of the UGA Regents Center for Learning Disorders
Distinguished
Research Professor 2000
Dr. Gregg studies adults with learning disabilities and the
impact of those disabilities on assessment, interventions and
services. In particular, she studies adults with learning disabilities
across rehabilitation and college populations. She has an outstanding
record of extramural funding in an area of limited support,
receiving federal funds for the only national research and
training center on adults with learning disabilities ever funded – the
National Institute for Disability Research and Rehabilitation
Learning Disabilities Research and Training Center. She provides
state leadership in the development and direction of the Regent’s
Center for Learning Disabilities, which has become the national
model for linking research with practice. She is also involved
in international comparative research, concentrating on the
impact of cultural and linguistic factors on the variable prevalence
of adults with learning disabilities across nations.
