James Herbert

Albert Christ-Janer Award
Painter and filmmaker James Herbert scrutinizes
such subjects as youthful eroticism through his experimental work.
Herbert has spent more than 30 years at the University of Georgia,
developing new resources in film editing right on campus. He is
one of the few artists to receive a Guggenheim Fellowship in more
than one field—both painting and film.
