Ernst von Glasersfeld, in collaboration
with Leslie Steffe, developed a model (IRON) to understand the development
and learning of numerical concepts in children. Armed with this
model, they helped structure novel theories and methods in numerical
conception. They received extensive international recognition for
their IRON model.
