A university-wide honor to recognize outstanding research and/or creative activity of faculty who are at least ten years beyond their terminal academic degree. Up to five individuals may be appointed each year.

Deadline for Nominations: Submitted to the Dean by the last official workday in September, and to the OVPR by the last official workday in October.

Nomination By: At least five tenured faculty, a department head, or a dean.
Selection Process: The OVPR Research Advisory Committee reviews the nominations and makes recommendations which proceed to the VPR, the Provost and the President, who informs the Regents of the selections.
