How do I submit a Class Project Exemption form for student research?
Course Instructors who assign human subjects related class projects may request and receive an research exemption from the Human Subjects Office. Instructors are responsible for reviewing and approving Student Applications for Class Projects and for retaining the paperwork for a period of one academic year.

What materials should I submit to the Human Subjects Office?
- A fully completed Instructor Exemption form
- Course syllabus or handouts
- Student roster
