The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) seeks Center (U50) cooperative agreement applications that address the etiology and prevention of injuries resulting from production agriculture/forestry/fishing. Applications should address the risks from these activities through research, prevention/intervention, and education projects that as a whole address problems in a synergistic manner resulting in a measurable impact on agriculture related injuries and diseases. Centers activities should be designed to integrate research, education, and prevention projects that address unique problems of agriculture in the geographic region served as well as nationally.
Eligibility: Any individual with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to carry out the proposed research is invited to work with their institution to develop an application for support.
Applicants may not submit more than one application to this announcement.
Funds Available:
The maximum amount that may be requested is $1,200,000 direct costs per year. NIOSH will not accept applications requesting greater than $1.2 million in direct costs.
