Abstract: |
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) invites applications from investigators interested in developing clinically useful contraceptive products for men. This RFA solicits novel approaches to male contraception including, but not limited to, research on epididymal function, spermatogenesis, sperm function, and regulation of germ cell apoptosis. The proposed research involves exploration of the epididymus and testis to identify specific targets and/ or products that can be exploited for fertility regulation. Individual projects may include basic, preclinical or clinical research or a combination of these areas, as long as the proposed research will contribute to the potential development of a clinically useful product for male contraception. |
