The Office of Grants and Contracts (C&G) and the Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP) have developed a roster of 10-minute live presentations regarding research-related topics that create the most confusion for UGA faculty (see attached list below). If one or two of these topics are of interest to members of your department/center, you may request a presentation covering your area(s) of interest at one your regularly scheduled faculty meetings. A team from both C&G and OSP will present a 10-minute "take home" message for each topic and perhaps provide short handouts. Because these topics are also relevant to staff who assist faculty with proposals/grants, we recommend that they attend as well. If you place us first on the agenda, then after a quick question-and-answer session we and your staff will leave and the rest of your meeting can continue.
You may also suggest presentations on topics that are not on the list, and we will come prepared accordingly. Our long-term plan is to also provide this information in an easily accessible and navigable site on the OVPR home page; until that work is complete, face-to-face sessions with faculty members will ensure that they get the information they need to develop and submit proposals and manage awards successfully.
