Abstract:

The National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Department of Energy (DoE), supports research and development of technologies that can deliver affordable hydrogen produced from coal or coal/biomass mixtures with near-zero environmental emissions. The Department of Energy (DoE) solicits proposals specifically be limited to producing liquid hydrocarbon fuels from coal/biomass mixtures. This funding opportunity notice contains three Program Areas of Interest:

  • Feeding Coal/Biomass Mixtures Across a Pressure Gradient
  • Characterization of the Products from Gasifiying Coal/Biomass Mixtures
  • Optimization of the Fischer-Tropsch (FT) and Water-Gas-Shift (WGS) Processes
